Three days before Christmas my family got together at a friend's farm in Homestead (FL) to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. Homestead is Miami's countryside. The farm is gorgeous, with so many different picturesque spots and so many different animals everywhere. There is a huge Koi pond, with about 50 of them, in the most serene spot covered with a canopy of trees. I could have stayed in that one spot forever. It felt great to spend the day in this relaxation haven, and gain strength for the busy days that came afterwards.

It was really cold this day for Miami's standards (in the 50s). I had been waiting for an opportunity to wear this awesome polka dot sweater I got at Old Navy back in November. Pretty much the entire outfit I'm wearing came from Old Navy, except for the boots. These are my favorite boots in the whole wide world. They are so old and dusty, but I can't get enough of them. They are the most comfortable shoes ever, and have accompanied me on so many occasions, including two trips to Spain where I walked absolutely everywhere in them.

Es un lugar verdaderamente expectacular, espcialmente un estanque con peces Koi en el cual me hubiera podido quedar una vida entera. Es un sitio precioso. Habia bastante frio para ser Miami, asi que por eso fui bien abrigada, y al fin pude estrenar este sueter de bolas que me habia comprado en Noviembre. Todo el conjunto, menos las botas, es de Old Navy. Las botas son mis favoritas. Estan viejitas y gastadas, pero las adoro porque son muy comodas, y me han acompañado en varios viajes, aun en dos ocaciones a Madrid en las que camine toda la ciudad en ellas.
